Teaching conferences are held daily Monday through Friday, and cover a variety of topics, generally scheduled so that each topic will be covered twice during the resident’s three years in the program. Residents must attend 80% of all conferences to be promoted to the next level of training. Conference is held at 12:30 to 1:30 PM daily.
These conferences provide the opportunity for case presentations and detailed discussions on some of the patients the resident may be following in the hospital. A high risk OB conference is sponsored weekly. Each hospital also has regularly occurring CME activities, such as grand rounds and tumor conference.
