Dr. Heard a native of Greenwood, Arkansas, is the director of AHEC Fort Smith as well as the practice management instructor. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting and Finance in 1973 from the University of Arkansas. He also completed his Master of Business Administration in 1985 and Doctorate in Higher Education Administration in 1994 all from the University of Arkansas. Dr. Heard joined AHEC Fort Smith in 1986.
He is an adjunct faculty member at John Brown University and was elected to Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society in 2002 for excellence in teaching. He is a graduate of Leadership Fort Smith, and serves on numerous community boards and committees. |
