Douglas Hendrex, resident physician, is originally from Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. He went to medical school at the University of North Dakota.
Dr. Hendrex said that he likes AHEC Fort Smith for its "excellent faculty, diverse population of people and experiences." He enjoys Fort Smith for its location and people. He said that it is "overall a nice community with a lot to offer."
His medical interests are in family medicine, pediatrics and minor procedures.
In his spare time, Dr. Hendrex enjoys a variety of activities particularly sports and anything outdoors. His favorite teams are the Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, North Dakota Fighting Sioux, Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Oklahoma City Thunder. |
