Dr. Payne graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology in 1991. She then received her doctorate in medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1997 and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society the same year. She completed her residency training in family medicine in 2000.
Her special interests in medicine include adult medicine and geriatrics. She spends her spare time in various pursuits including hiking, writing, cooking, and spending time with her daughter and husband. |
