C. Ian Aguirre, resident physician, is from Jacksonville, Florida. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Florida. He then attended the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, The Catholic University of the Philippines.
He enjoys working at UAMS-AHEC Fort Smith because of the people he has met and the many opportunities an unopposed program has to offer. He likes living in Fort Smith for its small town feel with big city conveniences.
His medical interests are outpatient medicine, GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
In his spare time, Dr. Aguirre enjoys travelling with his family.
