Dr. Acklin is the residency director at AHEC Fort Smith and a native Arkansan from Conway. He received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Arkansas in 1979, and his doctorate in medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1983. His residency was with AHEC Fort Smith, and he joined the staff of the program on completion of his residency in 1986. In 1997, he assumed the residency director position.
Dr. Acklin has a special medical interest in HIV/AIDS care, obstetrics and procedural training. When not at the office, he can be found on his farm raising beefalo and horses. |
