Welcome to UAMS AHEC Northeast
UAMS AHEC Northeast enjoys significant support through the two affiliated hospitals in Jonesboro, St. Bernards Medical Center and NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. These institutions not only provide a rich environment for physician training and education but also serve as a resource for all manners of program development and support. Community partnerships offer enriching experiences for our students while contributing to be betterment of our community and fellow Arkansans'. Examples of these partnerships are the Community Church Health Center, Center on Aging, outreach to local elementary schools to teach healthy life choices, support and participation with local organizations like Rotary and Lions clubs and the Medical Reserve Corp to mention just a few.
Other educational opportunities at UAMS AHEC Northeast include rotations for medical, nursing, mental health and social work, phlebotomy, pharmacy and other allied health students.
