The Area Health Education Center- North Central is dedicated to the delivery and assisting in the delivery of health services and education in our ten county catchment area.
Services provided include:
Health Screening (Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index, Cholesterol Values, Blood Glucose Values, etc.)
Health Fairs
Diabetes Education
Smoking Cessation
Children's Health Education
Adult Health Education
Medication Assistance Program

AHEC- North Central Library

The Area Health Education Center- North Central Libraries provides access to textbooks, audio-visual materials, and health-related brochures. Services are provided to health care professionals, students, and consumers in the following counties: Marion, Baxter, Fulton, Sharp, Searcy, Van Buren, Stone, Cleburne, Izard and Independence. A variety of services are provided including mediated literature searches, reference services, interlibrary loan services, database training, and materials for patient education.

The Libraries work in partnership with the UAMS Library and the six other Arkansas AHEC Libraries. The libraries are staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
